As 2017 TUC Congress arrives in Brighton, the LRC fringe meeting will focus on uniting the labour movement to get the Tories out and put Labour into government.  Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn has stood in solidarity with countless strikers and offered the hand of friendship to as many campaigns.  Labour’s 2017 manifesto showed that a Corbyn-led Labour Government will represent the working class, rather than serve the privileged elite.  Labour is pledged to end austerity, fight racism, return key assets like our railways to public ownership, save others like our Fire Service and Post Offices, and rid Britain of anti-union laws. The LRC says: Let’s Unite our Movement to Defeat Austerity and Get the Tories Out!

Hear top speakers including: Mark Serwotka – PCS General Secretary, Matt Wrack – FBU General Secretary, Maria Exall – CWU Executive, Ronnie Draper – BFAWU General Secretary, Debbie Reay – Chair ASLEF Women’s Committee, and Laura Watson, spokeswoman for the English Collective of Prostitutes.  Brighton Kemptown’s Labour MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle sends his apologies since a three line whip, imposed on MPs for the latest vote on Brexit, will keep him late at Westminster.

Refreshments will be available when doors open at 6.15pm, with the meeting starting at 6.30pm. With these great speakers, this is an unmissable event!
